Before writing a single word, SalesMind AI classifies each prospect on two dimensions: how aware they are of the problem you solve, and what role they play in a buying decision. The message angle, depth of explanation and strength of the ask all adapt to that classification — because the perfect message for a solution-aware decision-maker is the wrong message for someone who has never framed the problem.
What does the classification change?
| Prospect state | How the message adapts |
|---|---|
| Low awareness of the problem | Lead with the observation or trigger, not the product — explaining a solution to an unfelt problem reads as spam |
| Problem-aware, exploring | Share insight or a resource that frames the decision — earn the right to a conversation |
| Solution-aware, evaluating | Be concrete about the differentiator; a direct ask is appropriate sooner |
| Decision-maker | Business-outcome framing, shorter path to the ask |
| Influencer / operator | Practical, day-to-day framing; softer ask, shareable value |
Where does the classification come from?
The AI reads the prospect's profile, activity and context and classifies them automatically per campaign — there is nothing to configure. Your persona still defines who gets contacted and what you offer them; awareness classification tunes how the message meets them where they are.
💡 If messages feel "too salesy" or "too soft" for a segment, the fix is usually upstream: sharpen the persona's buying-process details so classification has better raw material. See Setting Up Your Persona.
