LinkedIn People Search helps you find leads on LinkedIn. You can search by job title, location, company, industry, and other filters.
After your search looks right, copy the LinkedIn search URL. Then paste it into SalesMind AI to import the leads.
Prerequisites
Before you start, make sure you have:
- An active SalesMind AI account
- A LinkedIn account
- A campaign where you want to add leads
You do not need Sales Navigator for this method. A normal LinkedIn account is enough.
Step 1: Search for people on LinkedIn
Go to LinkedIn and search for the type of person you want to reach.
You can search by role, title, or keyword.
Examples:
- Marketing Manager
- Founder
- CEO
- Sales Director
- Product Manager

After you search, click People. This makes LinkedIn show only people profiles.

Step 2: Add filters
Filters help you build a better lead list. They also help you avoid poor-fit leads.

Useful filters include:
| Filter | How it helps |
|---|---|
| Connections | Choose 1st, 2nd, or 3rd degree connections |
| Location | Target people in a country, region, or city |
| Current Company | Find people who work at certain companies |
| Past Company | Find people who used to work at certain companies |
| School | Target alumni from a school or university |
| Industry | Focus on one business sector |
| Profile Language | Match people by language |
| Open to | Find people open to certain opportunities |
| Service Category | Find people offering certain services |
| Title | Target exact job titles |
| Keywords | Add extra words about your audience |
Tip: Start with Title, Location, and Industry. These filters usually give you a strong first list.
Step 3: Search in both local language and English
If you target a non-English market, do not search only in the local language.
Many people use English job titles on LinkedIn. For example, a marketing director in France may write Marketing Director on their profile instead of the French title.
If you search only in French, you may miss that person.
Use both languages when you build your search.
For example, if you target France, search for both:
- French job titles
- English job titles
This gives you a fuller list. It also keeps strong leads from being left out.
Step 4: Review the results and copy the URL
Click Show results after you add your filters.
![]()
Check the first page of results.
Ask yourself:
- Do these people match my target customer?
- Are the job titles right?
- Are the locations right?
- Are the companies or industries right?
If the list is too broad, add more filters.
If the list is too small, remove one or two filters.
LinkedIn often shows up to 1,000 profiles in a normal search. SalesMind AI can import up to 1,500 leads from one supported search URL, based on what LinkedIn shows.
When the results look right, copy the full URL from your browser address bar.
![]()
This URL contains your search and filter choices. SalesMind AI uses it to import the right leads.
